Welcome
We are pleased introducing ourselves.
Around 10 years ago we, Jan Verwey (1956) and Bianca Emma Verwey-Bibrich decided to buy
a farm in order to breed Horses and as well as giving owners of elderly and injured horses the possibility to
hire stables at our premises at a small scale.
During the year 2005, after a long search throughout The Netherlands, we found the right location.
At the beginning of April 2007 we moved together with our animals, from the Western part of The
Netherlands (Hoekse Waard) towards the small village named Veulen (meaning foal) at the far
North-Eastern part of the province of Limburg.
Over the last years we did everything possible to change the Farm in such a shape realizing our initial
plans.
I (Bianca) came across 15 years ago the Gelders horses
Initially I was riding and taking care for a Gelders mare and at the time she was put on rest I was
buying my first owned Gelders horse, a gelding.
Due to the fact that this seldom horse breed stole my hearth, I decided to do everything possible to
help secure this breed for the future as well.
My first Gelders brood mare I choose due to the old bloodlines she has. Her 2 daughters from 100%
pure Gelders stallions has to secure the continuation of our small stud.
Also during the last years I groomed elderly- as well as injured horses in our stables which I guided
until the last day.
Already before our movement to the farm we got fascinated by the Boerboel.
The description of this South African Mastiff gave us everything which we believe is necessary for a
loyal family dog.
After a long search we found the perfect buddy for us as well as for our, at that time old Labrador.
This Boerboel “Lavinia” is at the moment around 5 years and has reached excellent appraisals results
at several examinations and at the same time she proofed to have a fantastic steady character.
We decided at the beginning of 2013 to breed our first litter of pups in order to secure a female
Boerboel of the same bloodline.
Stimulated by this experiences as well as the pleasure we do have to go with our dogs to the various
examinations of the known breeding organizations we shall be able to offer from time to time pups
from carefully selected dogs.
Too manage unfavorable pieces of land around the farm and also for avoiding worm
contamination on the meadows we use our pedigree Suffolk sheep for grazing the after
the horses.
We breed every year some lambs from our own Suffolk Rams and Ewes.
This cozy, tame sheep breed is giving a delicious piece of meat as well as gives a creamy
white fine wool.
A brood hens and a cat creates a nice atmosphere around the farm!
